I trained Prayer to 99 from about level 70 using a mixture of Babydragon Bones and Dragon Bones. I had some bonus xp to use as well which stacked with the bonus you get from POH altar which was lovely.
Nowadays I don't train prayer much at all although I still take a bonecrusher with me on Slayer tasks just to save having to look at all the bones on the floor. =P

I usually take bonecrusher when I combine it with a demon's horn necklace.
Free Prayer points is really useful. Means you can pretty much afk certain slayer tasks, Dark Beasts.
