The Big Push Competition!

A few months ago we relaunched RuneHints with our awesome refresh! Today is the relaunch of our much loved social competition, The Big Push!

It's super simple to get involved and doesn't require any puzzle solving you'll be glad to know. Over the course of each month you can gain votes by participating in the community in various ways and then at the end of each month we throw everybody's votes into a huge hat and pick a lucky winner!

Gaining Votes

There are several ways you can gain votes and there's a maximum of 10 votes to be collected each month. Here are how you can earn your votes:

• For every 10 posts you make on our forums you will receive 1 vote. You can only achieve a maximum of 5 votes from this though so once you have reached 50 posts for the month you will not gain any more votes for that month.

• 1 vote for liking us on our Facebook page.

• 1 vote for following us on Twitter.

• 1 vote for using one of our dynamic signatures in your forum signature.

• 2 bonus votes for completing all of the above each month!

Choosing a winner

At the end of each month we will count up the number of votes for everyone. We will then add everyone's name into a random username picker. For every vote you get we will stick your name once into the username picker. We'll then hit the random selector and the name that appears will be the winner for that month.

Prize!

The winner will receive one RuneScape Bond or the equivalent in RuneScape GP. You will be contacted by a member of staff early into the next month to let you know that you have won!

We'll keep the thread updated with a list of winners from each month.

FAQ

Q: If at the end of the month I have made 36 posts. How many votes will I get?

A: For posting, each vote will be earned when you reach that multiple of 10 so when you reach 10 posts you will have earned 1 vote, when you reached 20 you will have earned 2 etc etc. When you have reached 50 you will have reached the maximum of 5 votes.

Q: How will you verify me liking you on Facebook?

A: Whether you have previously liked us or not we would like you to let us know when you have liked our Facebook page in some way and tell us who you are. You can like us with a real life Facebook page or with an account/page you have set up purely for gaming. Once you have let us know we will keep a record of the link between FB and RH accounts so it's easier for us to double check each month.

Q: How will you verify me liking you on Twitter?

A: Whether you have previously followed us or not we would like you to let us know when you have followed us on Twitter either by sending us a tweet, sending a direct message if we've followed you back or by posting on the thread with your twitter name and a url link to your page. Once you have let us know we will keep a record of the link between Twitter and RH accounts so it's easier for us to double check each month.

Q: When will you count up the votes for each month?

A: On the last day of each month, close to midnight we will take a snapshot of everyone's post counts, our Facebook likes and our Twitter followers. Hopefully in the first week of the month after we will have had time to count up everyone's votes and verify Facebook and Twitter and we can then put everyone's votes into the username picker and choose a winner.

Q: How will you let me know if I have won?

A: We'll announce the winner for each month on this thread and more than likely make announcements on our social media congratulating the winner. We will then contact you in the best way possible to arrange your prize.
